Looking for information about KDKA/Press WWII Victory Garden

I saw a tweet from Pittsburgh History Pie (@BorosNorth) that had a picture and press release from KDKA radio from 1942, showing a Victory Garden in Schenley Park (photos below).

Upon further investigation, I found some information about a joint effort between the Pittsburgh Press and KDKA radio creating a Victory Garden in Schenley Park to produce vegetables for Children's Hospital.

If anyone has any recollection or information about the gardens, could you please email me at dougoster@comcast.net.

Here's a clipping from the Pittsburgh Press from April 20, 1944.

From Billboard Magazine July 18, 1942.
