Visit Joe Hamm’s Daffodil Garden

Joe Hamm’s love for daffodils is unparalleled, his display of flowers is the best I’ve ever seen!

Here’s a message from my friends down at Joe Hamm’s Daffodil Garden in Washington County. Looks like the blooms are going to be peaking soon. This is a magical place that you should see!

Joe Hamm’s Daffodil Gardens are open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the month of April. Enjoy walking in open fields to see 50 beds of over 1,200 different daffodil cultivars and over 30,000 blooms. Discover the many varieties, shapes, and colors of daffodils.

There are six seasons of daffodils—very early, early, mid, mid-late, late, very late—beginning in late March and ending in early May, but with the wild fluctuations in the weather this year, it is difficult to predict the peak bloom time. We anticipate that the greatest number of varieties will be in bloom in the second and third weeks of April.

Recognized by the American Daffodil Society (ADS) as an official ADS Display Garden in 2013, Joe Hamm’s is the only ADS Display Garden in Western Pennsylvania and shares this designation with only one other garden in Pennsylvania, Longwood Gardens in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The daffodil display at Joe Hamm’s is incredible.

A juried Daffodil Show will be held at Joe’s barn on Saturday, April 29th, and Sunday, April 30th.   This is a wonderful opportunity to see the blooms indoors and up close.  Please note that on Saturday, public access to the show inside the barn will be after 2:30 p.m.  This is to allow show judges sufficient time to do their work.

The Daffodil Gardens are located in Washington County, Buffalo Village at 99 Maple Road off of Route 331. Look for the Red Barn. Call  Joe at 724 345-3762 for more information.
