Spotted lanterfly identification

The spotted lanternfly has many different stages, called instars. Get to know what each one looks like and if you see one or many, kill them.

They’re favorite plant is tree of heaven, but there are at least 70 different species they will feed on.

This invasive species is infesting different areas of Western Pennsylvania and it’s important for us to do our part in slowing them down.

Organic controls include Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew, insecticidal soap, Neem oil, horticultural oil and diatomaceous earth.
