It’s an annual ritual that I talk about pansies at this time each season. They are the one plant that can take the cold and pump out the blooms through June.
I like to fed them a good liquid organic fertilizer about once a week to keep the flowers coming.
You can buy them in baskets, bowls and flats. The colors will really brighten the garden and they are great for containers.
Come see me dance on Saturday March 12th with may partner Cathy Kelly at Dancing with the Celebrities of Pittsburgh.
Tickets start at just $40 and benefit many great charities. You can order tickets here.
I’ll have plenty of free seeds to give a way to anyone who comes to see me at the Home and Garden Show this year. I’ve also made some bee houses to attract native pollinators. I’ll raffle one off at each appearance. Join me at the PGU Showcase Stage on the second floor near the Crawford Grill.
I’ll also be selling and signing all three of my books, Grow Organic, A Gardener’s Notebook and Tomatoes Garlic Basil.
