Plant pansies now as seen on KDKA TV’s Pittsburgh Today Live

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

It’s an annual ritual that I talk about pansies at this time each season. They are the one plant that can take the cold and pump out the blooms through June.

I like to fed them a good liquid organic fertilizer about once a week to keep the flowers coming.
You can buy them in baskets, bowls and flats. The colors will really brighten the garden and they are great for containers.

There are lots of black and yellow pansies, best to grow in the fall at the start of the season.
